The Big Blowup

Rules & Restrictions

Questions? Please contact Ry Jones, Boomershoot Assistant at: RJones@Boomershoot.org

How it works

Boomershoot is an annual pyrotechnic event held in North Central Idaho, where precision rifle shooters aim at exploding targets. When a target is hit, the result is a big, satisfying “Kaboom! Even if you can’t attend Boomershoot, you can still take part in the fun this year by purchasing your own personal blowup. Here’s how:

You send us your mementos, and we’ll professionally detonate them for $25 a pop at our 2005 event. When it’s all over, before and after digital images of your mementos/explosions will be emailed to you.

It’s like your own personal 4th of July. The Big Blowup is a great way for people to destroy their pain, along with symbols of their pain. Experience the thrilling, healing power of explosives – it’s legal, fun, and therapeutic!

What you do

Purchase your blowup through eBay by visiting this link. Yes, we sell gift certificates!

Blowup items must be no larger than 1 cubic foot or weigh more than 10 pounds, and must comply with the restrictions below.

Restrictions

bulletPhotos of elected officials cannot be accepted by Boomershoot for blowup.
bulletNo computers. As enticing as it sounds, you cannot put your dead computer to rest through our blowup service. (This is due to the fact that computers are classified as toxic waste in Idaho). However, if you’d like to send us a picture of your dead (or alive) computer, we’d be happy to demolish the photo.
bulletNo poisonous chemicals, biohazards, or other items illegal to dispose of in your curbside garbage.
bulletNo explosives, fireworks, or flammables (we take care of that part).
bulletIt is illegal to steal. Likewise, it is illegal to send stolen items to Boomershoot for blowup.

General rule of thumb: If your blowup items are illegal to ship via FedEx, UPS, or United States Postal Service, we cannot accept them for detonation.

No refunds/returns

Absolutely no refunds. If you purchase your explosure but do not send us your items, your money will not be refunded.

Absolutely no returns. Pre-explosure items or post-explosure smithereens will not be returned to payees.
